When waiting for the water to heat up before taking a shower, place a bucket under the faucet to catch the colder water. You can use this for cleaning, pets and other watering. When you’re doing laundry or running the dishwasher, make sure it is a full load. Toilet leaks are hard to notice, but check the rubber seal (typically red) that lifts up to let in water when you flush the toilet. If this is warped or not sealing completing your toilet will continue to run causing your water bill to be very high.
